We started packing last night in preparation to check out of the Moonlight Hotel Saigon and realised we forget to eat these little ones.
Today was our flight to Singapore.
The first and last time i was in Singapore was in 1988.
I was five years old.
I don't remember much other than shopping centres, a mix of Chinese and Indian people,
And also being really upset when i left my United Colours of Benetton model Formula 1 car in a cable car.
I've had this one dollar note since 1988.
I was devastated when i Googled that it is now redundant :S
Onto the Airport we went.
Leaving so early in the morning, we weren't able to grab any breakfast so we resorted to a cafe breakfast in the terminal.
 |
Cold breakfast ! Fanny coconut icecream hehe ! |
Still with an hour to spare we noticed a sign that said "Restaurants/Bar" pointing upstairs.
What the F*ckkk !!!!
Then we remembered the airport was under re-development when we were here last.
 |
USD$12 Pho.
Sacrilegious ! |
 |
Goodbye Saigon ! |
After a turbulent flight which almost made Cat sick, we arrive at the famous Changi Airport.
 |
This one's for Paulie |
First impressions of this modern Asian metropolis are super pleasant.
The transition from monopoly money Vietnamese dong to Singapore Dollar is going to hurt.
We caught a taxi from the airport to our hotel ... The Marina Bay Sands

Hello !!! |
 |
Wedding day deja vu |
With an hour or so to kill before our room was ready we went up to the skypark on level 57 to check it out.
 |
The imfamous 150m infinity pool |
 |
Jacuzzi overlooking the South China Sea |
Now 3pm we went back down to see if our room was ready.
Premier suite with city view.
Our little haven for the next 3 nights.
 |
What a pleasant suprise |
 |
Cat's favourite room.
Pictures does not do it justice. |
 |
My new blogging station |
 |
City view |
No beating around the bush, Pool time !
 |
Underwater fun |
Truly being accustomed to eating like pigs in Saigon, our stomachs were now yearning for some love and attention.
We went exploring The Shoppes At Marina Bay Sands and found a food court on the ground floor.
Cat and her awesome steamed chicken rice.
 |
mmm Cendol so good ! |
An hour or so passes and it's Dinner time.
We had three restaurant reservations for tonight but chose to cancel what would have been a divine and ravishing degustation at
Guy Savoy but at $900++ it wasn't the smart choice financially.
Either was the steak at
Cut by Wolfgang Puck at about $100 a piece for Australian or USDA meat.
The casino is pretty average.
It's no Las Vegas casino, not even a Crown or The Star.
What it was though was full of men, and cigarette smoke.
Men who had betting balances of SGD$9,000 sitting beside my SGD$100.
No eye candy but the hotel is where they all are !
